Personality:

• Gentle Giant | He's generally kind and gentle towards people he's around. He doesn't like to hurt others in any way, and tries to avoid doing just that. If a student gets hurt during one of his classes, he'll drop everything (even literally) just to help them.

• On Time | Tom has a wonderful sense of time and takes his meetings seriously. If someone tells him that something starts at 8 and suggest he be there at 7:45, he'll show up at 7:30. He likes to arrive early to being early.

• Adaptive | He can get used to working in a fast-paced job rather quick, or can settle down to handle the more calm tasks just as easily. He doesn't mind the heat or the cold, and can deal with both without complaint. It doesn't take long for him to get comfortable and settled into new places.
  

• Merciful | He values mercy over justice 90% of the time. Tom tries not to give harsh punishments to students at all and always regrets giving them detention or extra work. Although, he'll never go back on his decision once it's been made.

• Selfless | Tom will go out of his way just to help someone, even if his help isn't recognized. Those who follow him deserve his very best, and he'll give them just that. He's very patient and willing to listen!

• Tolerant | He strives to make people feel comfortable with who they are, to respect them and treat them well. Sexuality or gender don't matter to him at all; he especially doesn't care if you're different from everyone else by matters of what type of pokemon you are, how you act, what grades you get, or even how you're colored. Tom accepts people for who they are and nothing less.
  

• Quick Reacting | He doesn't necessarily have good reflexes, but he's quick to notice things like sounds or movements in the shadows. He'll be the first to the phone when it rings, and the quickest to answer a student's question if they blurt it out without warning.

• Somewhat Organized | He uses his extra time to make sure that everything's in order so that hopefully nothing goes wrong when the time comes. During his planning period, he'll make sure to prepare for the rest of the day and even the day after. He'll write down notes of what he plans to have the class do for the next week and leave them on his desk, just in case something comes up and he needs a substitute. He's more of a messy-organized, like his desk. It's a wreck, but it's an orderly wreck.

• Slow to Anger | Tom almost never gets angry towards anyone or anything, though, when he does, he's scary. He'll never yell, but his voice will raise and seem to boom around him, or he'll get close to the person's face with the most calm of whispers. (tall people towering over you are terrifying </3)

• Not Good with People | Pairing with his introverted and inside-oriented nature, he's not good around other people. Tom prefers making friends with lil animals and tending to gardens rather than going to social outings. He can handle a classroom, as he's used to being in that environment. He's very good with nature and non-human beings, and he likes to predict the weather based off of his observations of the fauna and flora present around him. Just ask him if he thinks it'll rain tomorrow! He knows the answer.

• Improviser | Despite his habit of planning ahead, he often improvises for a lot of things. Tom will proceed without planning more times than he's proud of, but he just can't help it. While his improvising is good, he wants to get better at getting ready for these sorts of things before they happen again.

• Average Reflexes | It mostly depends on the time. One moment, he'll be quick to flail at a small inanimate object flying towards him; the next, he won't even do anything when someone jokingly jumps on him.

• Bit of a Crybaby | He gets upset a lot at things, from people playing pranks on him to seeing someone he cares about with other people. Rowdy classrooms make him really anxious, but he can usually get them to calm down before he starts crying. Sometimes, he takes jokes seriously and will start to panic if it's about something bad.

• Awkward | He doesn't actually know how to improvise in social settings and has no idea how to make small talk. He sometimes laughs when he's nervous, and it doesn't work out for him (laughing when someone tells him bad news, laughing as an answer to a question, etc). His conversations with people are usually slow or come to a halt at a bad time. Tom tries to avoid greetings (always the highest potential for awkwardness), one-one-one talks/activities, jokes, etc.

• Low Self Esteem | He doesn't think highly of himself at all. While confident in his abilities, he believes his presence is unwanted or worthless and keeps himself scarce when it comes to places with a lot of people.  He apologizes a lot (even to objects), and won't stop when someone tells him to.
  

• Weak-Willed | Tom gets hurt and demoralized very easily. Even with all of his resources and talents, his low self-esteem gets in the way of what he wants/needs to do. When there's no hope, he'll quickly lose the will to continue and give up without a fight.
  

• Oblivious/Dense | If someone tries to change the topic, Tom will go right back to what they were talking about before without any idea that the other person may be uncomfortable talking about it. The feelings of other people are difficult for him to understand and react to even when they're put out into the open. Flirting tends to fly straight over his head, linking to his trouble with his romantic life. If someone's hinting that someone's showing up or something will happen, Tom will be completely clueless unless he's told straight out.

TLDR; A gentle giant who's an awkward crybaby and isn't good with people.

History:

    Tom Baldr was born as the youngest child in his family and grew up in a rich neighborhood. He didn't get to see his siblings as often as one would hope, but his youth caused him to never dwell on it. Nightmares often plagued him at night and still do even through his teaching career, and yet nothing seems to harm him like he always expected. He did superb in school, but never had more than a couple friends. No one seemed to like him back then, even going as far as spreading a rumor about him that wiped out what little friend circle he had and leaving him alone. It lead to Tom distancing himself from everyone else and never asking for their help, which no one wanted to give him anyways.

    That didn't deter him from his goal of graduating middle school and high school with straight A's, though! He smoothly rode his education out, picking up on notes and tips that other people had, studying by himself, and taking his time on all of his tests. He helped people when they needed it, even when they weren't going to return the favor. Tom enjoyed his alone time and his time at school learning new things. It wasn't long into high school before he started learning Danish and German as his second and third languages, respectively.

    Tom's awkwardness never faded, even through college. Although, he started to cut his hair by that time, as his hair was always in an 'ugly' bowl-cut during his teenage years. He liked the new hairstyle much better than the last, and it gave him the boost of confidence he needed to start studying and start his job as a teacher. His knowledge was vast, and he'd always wanted to share it with those who'd listen.
